Rock Hill – Mr. Birch F. (B.F.) Reynolds, Jr., 90, went home peacefully to be with the Lord on Tuesday, September 18, 2018 after a long battle with lung disease.
Services for Mr. Reynolds will be Saturday, September 22, 2018 at 1:00 pm at Lake Wylie Christian Assembly, 5766 Charlotte Highway, Clover, SC 29710 with Reverend Lewis Gunn officiating. BF was born October 15, 1927 in Rock Hill, where he lived his entire life except for his time serving in the US Army during World War II, to the late Birch Flynn Reynolds, Sr. and the late Wilmoth Dye Reynolds. B.F. retired from Celanese Corporation in 1989. He was always dedicated to church and serving others. As a young man he began serving as worship leader at First Assembly of God and later at Faith Assembly of God before having to resign in 1997 due to his health. BF blessed many with the beautiful voice that God had given him. BF was always willing to give his time to help those in need. He loved carpentry and enjoyed using those skills around the church. Family was very important to him, but there was no doubt that Jesus was first in his life. BF lived that example daily. He always showed the love of Jesus in everything he did.
BF is survived by his wife of 68 years, Betty Williams Reynolds; his daughter, Angie R. Pullin and her husband, Ron, of Rock Hill; and two granddaughters, Rachel and Ashley Pullin; his sister, Willie Frances Couch and her husband Don of Palm Springs, FL, and many beloved nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, BF was preceded in death by his brothers, Roy Conrad Reynolds and Jack Lee Reynolds, his sisters, Naomi R. Carpenter Reid, Audrey Meyers, Rita McClain, Martha Starnes, and Opal Lowery.
