ROCK HILL – Mrs. Virginia M. Worstall died at home on Saturday, February 3, 2018 being now “absent from the body and present with the Lord”.
A service celebrating her life will be held at 11am on Saturday, February 10, 2018 at Greene Funeral Home Northwest Chapel, 2133 Ebenezer Rd, Rock Hill with her husband, Pastor Ned Worstall officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the funeral home. Burial will be private with Rev. Craig G. Marshall officiating.
Born on June 17, 1933 near Philadelphia, PA, Mrs. Worstall was a daughter of the late Norris V. McCool and the late Maude R. McCool. She was married to her high school sweetheart, Edwin L. Worstall on May 14, 1955. Ginny took a business course at Temple University and worked as a secretary for several years until she resigned to begin her family and also to assume the responsibility of a pastor’s wife, serving our Lord in several church locations in the southeast.
Ginny is survived by her husband, Ned; her sons, Timothy L. Worstall of Lexington County and David M. Worstall (Susan) of Lexington; her daughter, Lynda L. Slack (Greg) of Eldersburg, MD; and her three granddaughters, Lisa, Anna and Abby. She was preceded in death by her sister, Dorothy Koury; and her sister-in-law, Dorie Button.
Ginny will be remembered as a loving mom and grandmom as well as a compassionate person reaching out to needy individuals in a caring way.
