INDIAN LAND – Ms. Margaret R. Trentini O’Connor, 56, passed away on Saturday, June 23, 2018 at the Wayne T. Patrick House.
The funeral service will be 6:30 pm on Friday, June 29, 2018 at Greene Funeral Home Northwest Chapel, 2133 Ebenezer Road, Rock Hill with Pastor Jim Grennan officiating.
Born in Manhattan, NY, Ms. O’Connor was the daughter of Ann Louise Mitchell Kenny of Bronx, NY. She attended St. Nicolas of Tolentine School in Bronx, NY. She relocated to Rock Hill, SC in 1995 where she was a Pharmacy Tech and later became a (LPN) Licensed Practical Nurse. Even though she fought cancer three times over the past 20 years, she never complained. She had a big heart and loved to help everyone. She never met a stranger and would open her home to anyone. She was strong and courageous. She had three grandchildren who were the center of her life. She loved to travel and even went to Brazil twice. She loved to go to yard sales and Goodwill and loved to find a bargain. She loved to laugh and always had a smile. She is loved so big.
In addition to her mother, Ms. O’Connor is survived by her step-father, Gerald Kenny; her children, Michael R. O’Connor (Krystal) of York, SC, Melissa O’Connor Land (Aaron) of Fort Mill, SC and Cheryl O’Connor of Myrtle Beach, SC; her grandchildren, Michael O’Connor, Rian A. Land and Elizabeth K. O’Connor; her brother, Michael Kenny of Bronx, NY; and her sisters, Marie Patterson of Bronx, NY and Ann McCann of Indian Land, SC. She was preceded in death by her husband, Michael Joseph O’Connor; her son, Ryan P. O’Connor; and her brother, Christopher Trentini.
The family will receive friends from 6-7:30pm on Thursday, June 28, 2018 at Greene Funeral Home Northwest Chapel.
Mrs. O’Connor longed to go to Kenya, Africa to help the children with tungiasis treatment (sand fleas) so in lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in her name to www.solehope.org.
