Columbia, SC – Stephen E. Moser Jr, 35, of Columbia, SC, died Sunday November 4th, 2018. He was born in Charlotte, NC on April 21, 1983, and grew up in Gastonia NC and Rock Hill, SC before moving to Columbia, SC to enter college. He was a dearly loved brother and son, nephew, cousin and grandchild, and he had many longtime time friends that will all miss him greatly. He was preceded in death by his father, Steven E Moser, Sr, his grandparents, Dr. James E Moser and Margaret Moser of Gastonia, NC, and grandparents, Francis H. and Anita B. Murphy of Putnam, Connecticut. He is survived by two brothers, Michael and Jonathan Moser, of Columbia, SC and his mother, Kathleen Moser of Columbia, SC. He was a graduate of Northwestern High School in Rock Hill SC and a 2012 graduate of the University of South Carolina in Political Science. His long-term career and interest was in the SC Criminal Justice System, where he held positions at Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center, Kirkland Correction Institute and Police Services of SCDC in Columbia, SC. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. Arrangements are being made through Greene Funeral Home Northwest Chapel, in Rock Hill SC. A Funeral Mass will be held 2:30 PM Friday November 9th at the Oratory, 434 Charlotte Avenue, Rock Hill, SC. Visitation will begin at 1:30 pm at the Oratory Chapel. In lieu of flowers, donations in loving remembrance can be made to a charity of your choice.
