Rock Hill, SC – Mr. Thomas Edward Jackson, 93, passed away Friday, October 26, 2018, at Westminster Health and Rehabilitation Center.
A memorial service to celebrate the life of Mr. Jackson will be held Monday, October 29, 2018, at 11:30 A.M. at St. John’s United Methodist Church, 321 S. Oakland Avenue, Rock Hill, SC, 29730 with Dr. Rodney Powell officiating. Visitation will follow the service at the church.
Mr. Jackson was a native of Rock Hill, SC, and the son of the late Thomas Edward Jackson, Sr. and Elsie Williams Jackson. He graduated from Rock Hill High School and from Kings Business College. Mr. Jackson was employed as an Accountant with the Federal government as an Auditor and as a Mail Carrier. He was a Sergeant in the United States Army Air Corps and was a veteran of World War II. He was a member of St. John’s United Methodist Church for 81 years and enjoyed gardening, woodworking, and hunting with his bird dogs.
Mr. Jackson is survived by his loving wife of 72 years, Elise Howie Jackson; his daughters, Sherry Jackson Glenn, and Jeryl Jackson Christmas (Paul); his brother, Gene Jackson; and four grandchildren, Kristen Glenn Chambers (Jeff), Haley Christmas, Rob Glenn, and Lindsay Christmas Rowe (Chris); and four great-grandchildren, Tate, Elise, Parks, and Jackson. He was preceded in death by his brother, Dalton Jackson.
