Rock Hill, SC – Mark E. Bailey, 53, passed away on September 27, 2025 at Piedmont Medical Center.
A service will be held at 4:00 pm on Wednesday, October 1, 2025 at Greene Funeral Home Northwest Chapel, 2133 Ebenezer Road, Rock Hill, SC 29732. The family will receive friends at the funeral home, immediately following the service.
Mark was born in Rock Hill, South Carolina on September 12, 1972 to Lyndia Bailey and the late Charles E. Bailey. He was a lifelong resident of Rock Hill – Rock Hill was always home. He was a lover of all sports and a very good athlete. While growing up, he played football at Northwestern High School and was a member of the 1989 State Championship team. His love of sports led him to Umpiring as an adult. If you knew Mark, you knew of his love for the South Carolina Gamecocks.
Those close to Mark could see the dramatic change in his life when Jesus saved him. Mark was a walking testimony to the transformation that had taken place in his life.
Mark is survived by his daughter, Megan; grandson, Messiah; his mother, Lyndia; 5 siblings, Mickey (Erin), Rhonda (Donna), Pattie (Randy), David, and Eddie; and in addition, numerous nieces, nephews and extended family. He is preceded in death by his father, Charles E. Bailey.
