Christopher L. Thomason, age 60, passed away on November 18, 2025. A celebration of life will
be held at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, November 22nd, at First Baptist Church Rock Hill, SC with
Reverend Jamie Burdette officiating. The family will receive friends on Friday, November 21st
from 6:00 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. at First Baptist Church Rock Hill.
Chris was born on September 27, 1965, in Gainesville, GA, to Leon and Cathy (Allen) Thomason.
He is survived by his loving wife, Nancy Thomason; daughter, Catie Ray Blackman (Ricky);
granddaughter Laney Blackman; brothers, Chuck Thomason and Clay Thomason; sister, Leah
Burke (Chris); He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Chris grew up strong in his Christian faith and led his family in this way. From a young age, you
could find him behind a drum set at home or at church. He never met a stranger, always had a
smile to give, and his contagious laughter could light up any room he entered. Chris loved to
cheer on the Georgia Bulldogs, but his favorite thing to do was spend time with his family. He
was a child at heart, which made him the most amazing Pops to his granddaughter. He was the
best Husband, Father, Brother and Friend. He will be missed by all who knew him.
