Mary Kimball Collier, 79, passed from this life to the next on Friday, November 21, 2025 at Atrium Health Concord, arriving securely in heaven with her Savior, Jesus Christ. Born on June 18, 1946, Mary was the daughter of the late S. J. Kimball Jr., and the late Adelaide Miller Kimball. She grew up in Rock Hill and attended Winthrop Training School. She was retired from Coats American.
Mary was a member of Ebenezer Presbyterian Church in Rock Hill, SC, where she served as a youth leader in her younger years. Mary loved her church and the people in it. She attended many Bible studies, helped with Vacation Bible School, and supported the women’s ministries of the church. She had many friends in the church and outside of it. Mary was very personable and thoughtful.
She always had a “little something” to give you. She loved to scrapbook, crochet, play scrabble with her friends, and had a special love for animals. She will be remembered by her caring heart and genuine interest in others.
Mary is survived by her daughters, Mary Ellen Van Salisbury and Sandi Chandler, one granddaughter, a great-grandson, and her brother, Jack Kimball and his wife, Noell. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and grandnieces and grand- nephews, whom she greatly loved.
Mary’s service will be held on Monday, November 24, at 11:00 a.m. at Ebenezer Presbyterian Church, 2132 Ebenezer Rd., Rock Hill SC, with visitation following the service.
