Micheal Andrew Ellis, a beloved father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 16, 2025.
Born to the late Jack Ellis and Marcene Bumgardner Ellis, Micheal lived a life full of passion and dedication.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Linda Hooper Ellis, and sister, Jean Hensley. Micheal was a proud veteran of the United States Marine Corps, serving from 1969 to 1973. Following his military service, he became an active member of the VFW and American Legion.
Micheal was an avid hunter, fisherman, and gardener, cherishing every moment spent in nature. He loved sharing these passions with his family, showing them the same appreciation for the outdoors.
Micheal is survived by his children, Michelle Ellis Crump (Christopher), Micheal Andrew Ellis II (Shannon) and Matthew Ryan Ellis; his sisters, Rebecca Culp and Jackie Rivers. Micheal was also a proud grandfather to six grandchildren, Lacey (Jon), Tiffany (Jeremy), Marcie (Michael), Jessica (Noah), Andrew and Chase, as well as eight great grandchildren, Mason, Ayden, Payson, Loralye, Evelyn, Braxton, Aryiah and Oaklynn.
Family will receive and welcome friends Thursday, December 18, 2025 from 6:00P.M. – 8:00P.M. Service will take place the following day, Friday, December 19, 2025 at 12:00P.M. at Greene Funeral Home Northwest Chapel, 2133 Ebenezer Rd. Rock Hill, South Carolina 29732 with burial taking place at Forest Hills Cemetery 4290 Old York Rd, Rock Hill, SC 29732.
In lieu of flowers any memorials or donations may be made in Micheal’s name to The Marine Corp. Heritage Foundation or Hospice and Community Care of Rock Hill, SC.
