Rock Hill, SC – Anna Shillinglaw Lemmon, 87, entered into her eternal home this special Christmas Eve, surrounded by her family, on Wednesday, December 24, 2025.
Born in Rock Hill, SC, Mrs. Lemmon was the daughter of the late W. D. M. Shillinglaw and the late Elsie Horton Shillinglaw. She was also preceded in death by her first husband, Lynward M. Byrd, Jr., her second husband, Dr. Francis Marion Lemmon, Jr., and her sister, Peggy Goodson.
Surviving are her children, Michelle Ramsey (Gil), Meg Hill (Rick), Lyn Byrd (Lela), and Joanna Hill (Ron); 8 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Lemmon was a member of the Rock Hill Music Club, the Perehelion Book Club, the Junior Welfare League of Rock Hill, and the Charlotte Chorale Society. She was also a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church in Rock Hill. Mrs. Lemmon blessed many with her beautiful voice and her generosity.
Services for Mrs. Lemmon will be private.
