Kathy M. Key, 65, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 4, 2026.
Born on December 27, 1959, in Winnsboro, South Carolina, Kathy was the beloved daughter of the late Reece A. Steele Jr. and the late Shirley Phillips.
Kathy was a devoted mother to her daughter, Sarah Key and son, Joey McCammon. She had a warm heart and a vibrant spirit that touched the lives of everyone around her. Kathy cherished time spent at home, where she found peace and comfort. She enjoyed unwinding in her own way, embracing her own moments of relaxation. Above all else, Kathy’s heart belonged to her family and the lord.
She had a deep love for her children and grandchildren. Kathy’s passion for life and her dedication to her loved ones will be remembered fondly by all who knew her.
Kathy is also survived by her brother, James Steele and her beloved grandchildren as well as a host of family and friends who will continue to honor her memory.
Family will receive and welcome friends on Thursday, January 8, 2026 at 1:00pm at Greene Funeral Home Northwest Chapel 2133 Ebenezer Rd. Rock Hill SC 29732. A graveside service will follow immediately after the visitation at 2:00pm. Taking place at Forest Hills Cemetery, 4290 Old York Rd, Rock Hill, SC 29732.
