Marita C. Veerkamp, 82, passed away on January 28, 2026. She was born on December 18, 1943, in Lingen, Germany, to the late Gregor Beerboom and the late Mrs. Minna R. Briddigkeit.
She is survived by her husband, Bernhard Veerkamp; her son, Rainer Veerkamp (Kimberly); and her nephews, Friedhelm Schnabel and Dietmar Schnabel. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Hanni Schnabel, and her grandson, Austin Gage Hobbs.
A Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, February 14, 2026, at 2:00 PM at Greene Funeral Home Northwest Chapel, 2133 Ebenezer Road, Rock Hill, SC 29732.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Marita Veerkamp’s memory to Agape Hospice, 1326 Ebenezer Road, Rock Hill, SC 29732.
