Rock Hill, SC – Mrs. Mary Lou Bays, 86, passed away Saturday, March 14, 2026 at her home. Mary was the daughter of the late Robert L. and Glada J. (Madden) Lucas of Hamlin, WV. In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Outher Jay Bays.
Mary retired from the Cabell County Board of Education as the cafeteria Manager at Culloden Elementary School with over 30 years of dedicated service. Mary loved her job and the children she served.
Mary is survived by her two children, Sherry Neal of Rock Hill, SC and Donald Bays (Cathy) of Culloden, WV; her three grandchildren, Christopher Neal (KaCee) of Rock Hill, Jessica Mann (Jason) of Kings, NC; and Heather Jordan (Dustin) of Hurricane, WV; and her eight great-grandchildren whom she loved so much.
