Rock Hill, SC – Ann D. Johnson, 85, passed away on March 26, 2026.

Born in Charlotte, North Carolina, she was the daughter of the late John Ralph Ducker and Doris Ann Stone Ducker. She was preceded in death by her son and her son-in-law, Mark L. Landrum.

Ann, lovingly known as “Andie,” is survived by her daughter, Ashley Landrum, and her granddaughter, Marley Stone Landrum.

Ann was a dedicated and hard worker, retiring at the age of 75. She worked as a switchboard operator at Beck Imports, where she was affectionately known as “Sunshine” and “Annie.” Known for her sweet tooth and love of desserts, Ann also enjoyed playing cards and visiting the casino while on cruises; she was still enjoying the slot machines at 85 years old. She loved dining out with her family, particularly for Italian food, and cherished simple moments like getting pedicures or running errands with her daughter. She also loved calling and keeping in touch with her friends.

In her retirement, Ann filled many hours playing the game of solitaire and appreciated her daily quiet time with Pastor Rick’s Daily Hope and The Upper Room.

Ann shared an especially close bond with her granddaughter, whom she lovingly called her “Flawless Princess.” She took great pride in supporting her granddaughter’s career, even becoming her very first client when she started as a financial advisor. Ann was also known for her extensive collection of Skechers and was likely one of their number one clients—along with Hamrick’s and Walmart—which filled her closet.

Ann’s family has peace knowing that she knew the promise of eternal life:

Philippians 3:20–21

“But our citizenship is in heaven. And we eagerly await a Savior from there, the Lord Jesus Christ, who, by the power that enables Him to bring everything under His control, will transform our lowly bodies so that they will be like His glorious body.”

A memorial service will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, April 3, 2026, at Oakland Avenue Presbyterian Church, 421 Oakland Avenue, Rock Hill, SC 29730.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Ann D. Johnson’s name to Samaritan’s Purse or to Pastor Rick’s Daily Hope.
