David Maskelony, 65, peacefully passed away on Wednesday, April 15, 2026.
Born in Rockville Centre, NY, David was the son of the late Daniel Thomas Maskelony and the late Elsie Francis Schauder Maskelony. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Laurie, and his grandson, Jeremy Lee Bass, Jr.
David enjoyed music and spending time in his man cave. He loved recording and collecting records, a hobby that brought him much joy over the years.
He is survived by his spouse, Cathy Maskelony; his children, Kellie (Jeremy) Bass and Johnny (Caira) Nance; his grandchildren, Jordan Bass, Joseph Bass, Jayden Bass, Isaiah Nance, and Isabella Nance; his great-grandchild, Kaylani Hopkins; his sister, Denise; and his brothers, Danny, Chris, and Richard.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Friday, April 17, 2026, at Greene Funeral Home Northwest Chapel, 2133 Ebenezer Road, Rock Hill, SC.
A service will be held at 4:00 PM on Sunday, April 19, 2026, at Greene Funeral Home Northwest Chapel, with Minister Dolores Barber officiating.
Following the service, the family invites friends to a small gathering at 1998 Queens Road, Rock Hill, SC 29732.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in David’s name to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
