Rock Hill, SC – Mrs. Freida W. Hodges, 92, passed away on Thursday, April 30, 2026 at her home, surrounded by her family.
The service will be held at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, May 5, 2026 at Grace Church of the Nazarene, 1029 Mt. Gallant Road, Rock Hill, SC with Pastor Todd Sims officiating. Burial will follow in Grandview Memorial Park – Cherry Road, 620 S. Cherry Road, Rock Hill, SC.
Born in Rock Hill, SC, Mrs. Hodges was the daughter of the late Joe Lyle Wallace and the late Genevieve Deas Wallace. She was also preceded in death by her sister and two brothers.
Mrs. Hodges loved being outside. You could often find her either working in her yard or swinging, taking in the fresh air. She enjoyed shopping and playing cards, especially the card game Skip-Bo. She was also a big fan of the Atlanta Braves. More than anything else, she cherished time with her family, most notably the grandkids.
Surviving are her husband of nearly 74 years, B. A. Hodges; her daughter, Joannie Howington of Rock Hill, SC; her son, Andrew L. Hodges (Renea) of Rock Hill, SC; six grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and 5 great-great-grandchildren.
