Betty Jean Williams Reynolds, 94, of Rock Hill, SC, passed away peacefully on July 23, 2026, at Wayne T Patrick Hospice House, surrounded by her family.
Born on November 8, 1931, in Marietta, SC, Pickens County, to the late James C. and Edna F. Williams. She graduated from Rock Hill High School in 1949. She worked for 67 years in accounting, where she loved to “crunch” numbers.
On July 22, 1950, she married the love of her life, Birch F. Reynolds, Jr. It was her unwavering faith that guided her life to creating a warm and loving home for her family. She was a wonderful seamstress and cook.
As a devoted mother and grandmother, Betty instilled her strong values and beliefs in her family. She led by example, volunteering in her early years to teach a girl’s Sunday school class and Missionettes class and lead in the women’s ministry. Betty’s home was a haven of love and prayer for the girls that she taught, as well as the missionaries that would visit the church. She also headed up the missions department in her church and would faithfully write the the missionaries encouraging them with prayer and support. She volunteered in her retirement years at her granddaughters’ school for fundraising projects.
She is survived by her daughter, Angie R. Pullin (Ron), two granddaughters, Rachel L. Pullin, Ashley E. Pullin, and two sisters, Shirley Cudd and JoAnn Taylor, and many nieces and nephews.
A celebration of Betty’s life and faith will be held on Tuesday, July 28 at Faith Church, 2800 Faith Blvd, Rock Hill, SC at 2:00 PM. The family will receive visitors prior from 1:00 PM – 1:45 PM. Interment will follow at Grandview Memorial Park, 620 S Cherry Rd, Rock Hill, SC 29732.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to Faith Church, 2800 Faith Blvd., Rock Hill, SC.
