Becky, a beloved native of Rock Hill, SC, was a graduate of Rock Hill High School, Class of 1962.
She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, and friend to all. A member of Living Waters ARP Church in Clover, SC, Becky held her church family close and actively supported both local and international ministries. She spent several years in outreach ministry for Bethel United Methodist Church, Rock Hill SC with Salkehatchie & Red Bird. One of her proudest moments was traveling to serve Christ with UMVIM in Costa Rica.
Becky supported her husband and friends at many Shriner Events and local fundraisers. Becky was a member of the Rock Hill Chapter Women of The Moose, where she was a Past Senior Regent as well as serving numerous committees.
Most of Becky’s career was spent as a preschool teacher at Kiddie Kollege. She also worked as an attendant at Kwik Klean laundromat.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Bonnie Lee Sr. and Lula Ballard Demby; her sisters, Nancy D. Rainer, Margaret D. Tiller, Annie Ruth Demby, and Brenda Lewellen; and her brother, Bonnie Lee Demby Jr.
Becky is survived by her husband Barry L. Bruce; her daughters, Janice B. Sistare and Dina B. (Scotty) Grant; her grandson, Alex (Jamie) Sistare, who is expecting her first great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in Becky’s memory to the Shriners Hospital in Greenville, SC, or to Hospice & Community Care in Rock Hill, SC.
