Jean Marie Daniels, who has lived in Rock Hill for the past 25 years, passed away at her home surrounded by her loving family after a brave battle with Alzheimer’s.
Jean was born to the late Fannie Raynor and Arthur Lankenau. On October 14,1961 she married the love of her life John Gregory Daniels Jr. As her marriage and family flourished, she enjoyed sewing, needle point, ceramics and gardening. It was her endless love and devotion that created a loving home for her 5 children, 11 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
Jean is survived by her husband, John G. Daniels Jr., her daughters Barbara Jean Gibbons (husband Richard J. Gibbons), Katherine Ann Wilshusen, Elizabeth Marie Sieni (husband Robert Sieni), Sons, John Gregory Daniels III and Kevin Michael Daniels (wife Wendy Daniels), 11 grandchildren, Nicole Gabrielle Daniels, Megan Alyssa Daniels, Tara Ann Wilshusen, Melissa Lynn Gibbons, John Gregory Daniels IV, Rebecca Joanne Gibbons, Christopher John Wilshusen Jr. (CJ), Amanda Grace Gibbons, Connor Joseph Sieni, Jasmine Noel Daniels, Dylan Michael Daniels and 2 great grandchildren Brydan Gordon and Airabella Collins
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in Jean’s Memory be made to Hospice Community Care of Rock Hill and St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
A celebration of Jean’s life will be held on Saturday August 22, 2026 at Greene Funeral Home Northwest Chapel, 2133 Ebenezer Rd. Rock Hill, SC 29732 at 1pm. In memory of Jean please feel free to wear anything purple.
