Jack David Werner passed away unexpectedly at the age of 78 at Atrium Health Pineville on August 12, 2026.
Jack was born on November 17, 1947, in Frostburg, Maryland, to his father, Miles F. Werner, and his mother, Elizabeth H. Iacovone.
Jack married his beloved wife, Barb, on July 20, 1968, in Maryland. In 1988, Jack and Barb settled in Rock Hill, South Carolina, where they continued to reside until his passing.
After graduating from high school, Jack served his country by joining the National Guard, where he proudly served for five years. He also began his career in the glass industry, where he worked for 55 years. Jack retired from Cardinal FG in 2024.
Jack’s greatest pride was being a devoted follower of Christ. For many years, he faithfully sent daily devotions to countless people and never missed an opportunity to tell others about Jesus. His personality could fill a room with joy, and he never failed to leave a positive impact on everyone he met.
Jack was a proud father to his son, Scott Werner (Mihaela), and daughter, Danielle Husted (Jeff). He was also a loving grandfather to four grandsons, Harrison, Miles, Oscar, and Adam, and one granddaughter, Lauren.
Jack was preceded in death by his parents and his son, Scott.
The memorial service will be held at Greene Funeral Home, 2133 Ebenezer Road, Rock Hill, SC 29732, on Saturday, August 22, 2026, at 3:00 p.m.
