Rock Hill, South Carolina – Sarah Frances Lesslie Lynch entered the presence of the Lord on August 8, 2026, at the age of 71.

Fran was born in Rock Hill, SC on August 4, 1955, to Frank and Louise Arnold Lesslie. The Lord used circumstances from her birth to introduce faith to Frank and Louise, a faith that has been passed down to the fourth generation. Fran is survived by her loving husband Thomas Lynch, children Adam (Savannah) Lynch and Andrew Lynch, grandchildren Nathanael, Elias, Jane, and Declan Lynch, her sister Marie (Kenny) Kuhn.

Fran graduated from Rock Hill High School in 1973 and Winthrop University in 1977. As a young adult, she worked as an accountant for various companies and enjoyed singing with her church choir. Fran married Tom Lynch on November 22, 1986, and they loved each other dearly for almost 40 years. Twin sons Adam and Andrew Lynch were born in 1990. The family were members of First Baptist Church of Fort Mill where Fran served in various children’s ministries and sang second soprano in the church choir. The middle years of Fran’s life were devoted to the care of Adam and Andrew while she worked as a homemaker and later as a kindergarten assistant in the Fort Mill School District.

Fran welcomed daughter-in-law, Savannah, into the family in 2012 through her marriage to Adam. Their family continued to grow, and Fran had the joy of becoming “Grandmommy” to Nathanael, Elias, Jane, and Declan.

Fran was a stranger to few; her friendly and talkative personality resulted in many lasting and meaningful friendships. In her later years, she worked as the Financial Secretary at First Baptist Church, spent time with her grandchildren, and enjoyed going on walks and taking trips with Tom. A song of praise was continually in her heart throughout the years.

Fran was laid to rest during a private ceremony at Neely’s Creek ARP Church in Rock Hill, SC on August 13, 2026.

All who loved her are invited to attend a Celebration of Life at First Baptist Church of Fort Mill, SC on Saturday, August 29 at 2:00 PM in the Chapel. The family will receive friends one hour before the service.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to: First Baptist Church, 121 Monroe White Street, Fort Mill, SC 29732 www.fbcfm.com/give or Reformed University Fellowship, PO Box 890004, Charlotte, NC 28289 www.ruf.org/donate/
