Roberta “Bobbie” Maxine Deese, 76, passed away peacefully at hospice care on August 25, 2026. Bobbie was a faithful member of RHFCN.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 30, 2026, at Rock Hill First Church of the Nazarene, 718 North Jones Avenue, with Pastor John Sadler officiating. The family will receive friends at the Church from 4:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m., prior to the service. A private family burial will follow at Grandview Memorial Park on Hollis Lakes Road on Monday, August 31, 2026.
Bobbie was the daughter of the late Marie King Davis and Bratton Davis. She was the devoted wife of Jerry Wayne Deese, Sr.
Bobbie was a loving and dedicated mother to her two children: Jerry Deese Jr. and the late Angela Deese. She is also survived by her sister, Emily Lafave; four granddaughters; and many other family members and friends whose lives were touched by her. She was preceded in death by her late brother Ed “Delane” Davis, sisters Wilma Johnson and Ann Marie Hood, and twin sister Rebecca “Becky” Parks.
Bobbie’s life was a beautiful reflection of love, kindness, and faith. She had a way of making everyone feel welcome, and to know her was truly to love her. Whether offering a helping hand, a comforting word, or simply her warm presence, Bobbie cared deeply for those around her and lived each day with a servant’s heart.
If Bobbie could leave us with one final message, it would be the words she lived by so beautifully: “Love One Another.” Her life was centered around her family, her friends, and most of all, her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Her faith was not just something she believed —it was something she lived, seen in the love, grace, and kindness she poured into everyone around her.
Bobbie will be deeply missed, but her love, her faith, and the warmth she shared will remain in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her.
