Johns Island, SC – Mrs. Audrey Gail Smith, 63, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 26, 2026 at MUSC in Charleston, SC.
The family will receive friends from 11:00 am-11:50 am on Saturday, August 29, 2026 at Eastside Baptist Church, 318 N. Jones Ave., Rock Hill, SC 29730. The service will be held at 12:00 pm on Saturday, August 29, 2026 at the church, with Reverends Chris Rollins and Jerry Devinney officiating. Burial will follow in Grandview Memorial Park – Cherry Road, 620 S. Cherry Rd., Rock Hill 29732.
Born in Rock Hill, SC, Audrey was the daughter of the late Robert Ray Youngblood and the late Catherine Hodges Youngblood. She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Ricky Youngblood and Bobby Youngblood.
Audrey actively served the youth in her life in various roles. She was an educator, teaching high school Biology, Anatomy & Physiology, and other life sciences. In addition to her full-time role, she served as a daycare director, youth leader and Sunday school teacher. In her younger years, she enjoyed horseback riding and throughout her life, had a love for animals. She and her husband Bryan found a lot of fulfillment in breeding and showing Australian Shepherds. Audrey was a member of Coastal Community Church in the West Ashley region of Charleston, SC.
Surviving are her husband, Bryan Smith; her three sons, Caleb Smith (Erin Smith), Ethan Smith (Emily Smith), and Micah Smith; her two grandsons, Henderson Smith and Oliver Smith; her brother, Jamie Youngblood (Christine); her sister, Suzie Carpenter (Marion); and several nieces and nephews.
