Rock Hill, SC – Marion Dean Hodges Crabtree, 79, peacefully passed away at her home on Tuesday, August 25, 2026.
Born in Shelby, NC, Dean was the daughter of the late Robert Howard Hodges and the late Rubye Henson Hodges. She was preceded in death by her husband, Daniel T. Crabtree. She was also preceded in death by her twin sister Diana Hodges Moore and by her brother-in-law Gilbert Moore.
Dean worked for Wells Fargo at the time of her passing. She had also worked many years for Estes, Collins & Aikman, and Wachovia. She enjoyed working and spending time with her family. She was a graduate of Myers Park Highschool located in Charlotte, North Carolina.
Dean’s surviving family are her Grandsons Chandler Joseph Norton and Braylin Mitchell Norton. Her Brother William Howard Hodges, Sr. Her Nephew William Hodges, Jr. Her Nieces Leeann Hodges May, and Carley Hodges Metschke. Her Nephew Robert Shawn Hodges, His Wife Krista Jo Hodges, Their Daughter Ashlyn Mackenzie Hodges-Wilkes, Their Sons Joseph Brady Hodges, and Robert Brock Hodges and several other great-nieces and great-nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Dean’s name to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
