Rock Hill, SC – Patsy Williams Weathers, 71, passed away on Thursday, September 24, 2026 at Piedmont Medical Center.
Catawba Baptist Church, 1450 Anderson Road, Rock Hill, SC 29730, will host the family for a visitation and and service on Saturday, October 3, 2026. They will receive friends from 1:00 – 1:50 pm and the service will begin at 2:00 pm.
Born in Shelby, NC, Patsy was the daughter of the late James Sidney Williams and the late Faye Gibson Williams. She was also preceded in death by her husband of almost 30 years, Stanley E. Weathers, and her son, Daniel Long, Jr. She was retired from the Rock Hill School District with more than 30 years of service.
Patsy enjoyed sewing, gardening, hunting, and fishing. She also liked to attend flower shows and riding with her grandkids in the golf cart. She was a member of Old Paths Community Church, where she was consistent and dedicated in serving others.
Surviving are her son, Michieul Long (Janet) of Edgemoor, SC; her grandchildren, Dustin Hinson, Jonathan Long, Mikey Long, Enoch Long, Luna Long, Ashley Long, Kelly Smith, and Austin Davis; two great-grandchildren; and her sister, Kelly Melton.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Patsy’s name to the Old Paths Community Church Building Fund, 2212 Burton St., Rock Hill, SC 29732.
