Rock Hill, SC – With profound sadness we announce the passing of Scarlette Day Snell Moseley, 85, whose generous spirit went to be with the Lord on September 23, 2026.
Scarlette was born in Washington, NC on November 28, 1940 and grew up in South Creek, NC. She met the love of her life Benny Moseley on July 4, 1961, were married on September 3rd and spent 46 beautiful years together. They had two daughters, Ann and Bonnie, and moved around the states while Benny served in the Navy. They moved to Rock Hill in 1979 and decided this is where home would be.
Scarlette loved being a wife and mother and eventually a nanny and great nanny. She always had a smile on her face and never met a stranger.
Scarlette is proceeded in death by her parents, William H. Snell and Ida Day Snell; her husband, Benny Jo Moseley; her daughter, Bonnie Williams; and her brother, Charles Snell.
Scarlette is survived by her daughter, Ann Moseley, son-in-law, Robby Williams, bonus daughter, Debra McCloud; grandson, Josh Moseley (Nataly), granddaughter, Cassy Hudson (Michael); and great grandkids Anna Williams, Benny and Gaby Moseley, Delilah and Wylie Hudson, Cloe Hess and Cole Pierce.
The family will receive friends on Monday, September 28, 2026 from 1:00 – 1:50 pm at Greene Funeral Home Northwest Chapel, 2133 Ebenezer Rd, Rock Hill, SC 29732. The Funeral Service will be at the funeral home at 2:00 pm, with Rev. Jerry Devinney officiating. Burial will follow at Grandview Memorial Park – Hollis Lakes, 401 Hollis Lakes Rd, Rock Hill, SC 29732.
