Rock Hill, SC – On October 26, 2026, Melvin Douglas Presnell went home to be with Jesus.
Those who knew him knew that his love for Christ always came first. He was a devoted husband, father, brother, and grandfather. Surviving him are his wife of 60 years, Linda Presnell and his children, Angela Lynch, Melissa Watson, Tracy Fielding, and Brandon Deal. He has 5 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, and one surviving brother, Phillip Presnell.
Melvin was a devout man of God and always made sure to tell everyone he met about Jesus Christ. He will be remembered for many things, but his love for Christ and his family outweighs it all.
His last wishes included no funeral. So on Saturday, October 31, 2026, 12:00 pm at Calvary Baptist Church, we will gather and celebrate his life and his going home. The church address is 830 N. Jones Avenue, Rock Hill, SC.
Please do not send flowers to the family home or church. Those who wish to honor Melvin are asked to find a person in need, help them, and tell them that Jesus Christ loves them.
