Rock Hill, SC – William Coon Basil Foxx, Sr., 84, passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 1, 2026 at Rock Hill Post Acute Care Center.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 7:30 pm on Wednesday, November 4, 2026 at Greene Funeral Home Northwest Chapel, 2133 Ebenezer Road, Rock Hill, SC. The service will be held at 12:00 pm on Thursday, November 5, 2026 at Greene Funeral Home Northwest Chapel, with Rev. Randy Devinney officiating. Burial will follow at Grandview Memorial Park – Cherry Road, 620 South Cherry Rd, Rock Hill, SC 29732.
Born in Rock Hill, SC, Mr. Foxx was the son of the late Antonio Basil Foxx and the late Beadie Mae Rinehardt Foxx. He was also preceded in death by his previous wife, Willie Taylor Foxx, his daughter, Donna Bigham, his three brothers, Sonny Foxx, Joey Foxx, and Lewis Foxx, and one sister, Mary Carver.
Mr. Foxx was a long-time member of First Assembly of God and later attended Westerly Hills Baptist Church. He proudly served his country in the US Navy from 1964 until 1967. In his free time, he enjoyed hunting, fishing and watching NASCAR.
Surviving are his wife, Glenda Player Foxx; his sons, Billy Foxx (Sherry) and Will Foxx, Jr. (Debbie); his daughter, Lavonne Fowler (Steve); six grandchildren, Zach Fowler, Taylor Foxx, Kaylee Foxx, Dawn Crawford, April Bigham, Lauren Giancarli; and six great-grandchildren.
The family would like to give a special thanks to the staff at Rock Hill Post Acute Care Center for the gracious and compassionate care consistently given to Mr. Foxx.
