Waxhaw, North Carolina – Robert Franklin Laney Jr., 67, passed away Wednesday, January 8, 2025 at his home.
He was born in Fort Mill, South Carolina. He graduated from Fort Mill High school. He worked in many different trades throughout his life but his passion was working with horses. In his free time, he enjoyed cruising the roads on his Harley.
He is survived by his wife, Candace Laney of Waxhaw, North Carolina; Son, Robert F. Laney lll (Tracy) of York, South Carolina; Mother, Frances Walker of Catawba, South Carolina; brothers, Hoss Laney, Tim Walker, Jack Walker and sister, Theresa Roper; two grandchildren, Savannah Laney and Robert Nathaniel Laney. Preceded in death by father, Jack Vernon Walker, his brother, Thomas (Red) Walker, and his beloved grandmother, Katie Hammond.
Graveside Service will be held at Unity Cemetery at 1:00 p.m. Monday, January 13, 2025 with Jack Walker officiating.
