Rock Hill, SC – Cortez Whitridge (Whit) Williams, Jr. died on January 8, 2025, at his home in Rock Hill, SC.
Whit was born on October 1, 1947, to Cortez and Eulalia Williams. He grew up in Columbia, SC and attended Eau Claire High School. Whit was a salesman prior to retirement and enjoyed working with people. Whit loved puzzles, backgammon, trips to the NC mountains, and playing piano. He also enjoyed a spirited game of spades with friends and family.
Whit is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Dee and Dave Harris; his brother and sister-in-law, Paul and Brenda Williams; nieces, Rebecca Pender (Troy) and Shelly Franklin (Josh) and multiple grand nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 25, 2025 at 11:30 am at Greene Funeral Home Northwest Chapel, 2133 Ebenezer Road, Rock Hill SC 29732.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Whit’s name to the Humane Society of York County, 8177 Regent Parkway, Fort Mill, SC 29715.
