Edgemoor, SC – Mr. Gary Gaston Devinney, 75, passed away on Saturday January 25, 2025, at his home in Edgemoor, SC.
Gary was born on September 13, 1949, to Joseph Thomas Devinney and Inez Terry Devinney. He was a United States Army veteran who proudly served as a helicopter flight engineer and door gunner in Vietnam. Gary previously worked as an auto mechanic for 10 years, and later worked as a welder and fabricator for PPM and CTR, where he retired. He loved hot rods and especially the three-wheeler that he built and loved to ride.
Gary is survived by his wife of 56 years, Marie Devinney; his sons, Donnie Devinney (Michelle) of Surfside Beach, SC and Terry Devinney (April) of Rock Hill. He is also survived by his sister, Barbara Hill (Jerry) of York; five grandchildren, Dusten Devinney (Heather), Kelsey Devinney, Brittany Devinney, Whitney Howell (Justin) and Porter Burkett; and his great-granddaughter, Laiklyn Watkins. Gary was preceded in death by his parents and his three brothers, Leon Devinney, Donald Devinney and Ricky Devinney.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, February 1, 2025 at 3:00-4:30 pm at Greene Funeral Home Northwest Chapel, 2133 Ebenezer Road, Rock Hill SC 29732.
