Blackstock, SC – Dennis Bruce Norton, 85, passed away at his home on January 28, 2025. He was born on January 4, 1940 to the late Glenn Norton and Beulah Nancy Dickson Norton.

Bruce is survived by his loving wife, Joyce Norton; daughters, Denise Silva (Robert), Judy Hallinan (Tim), DeAnn Meek (Mark); sister, Pam Feltch Keith (Don); four grandchildren, Rachael Silva, Brooke Silva, Jordan Meek (Evan), Lillie Meek (Scottie); his beloved dog, Chewy; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his siblings, Glen Norton, Larry Norton, Alan Norton (widow, Joyce), Karen Norton, and Eugene Feltch.

Bruce was a gentle, classy, loving man.  Born in Ogden, UT, and lived in Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and South Carolina.  Bruce worked his way up as a stock boy to the director of purchasing for an office products company before retiring in 2005.  After retirement he worked at Old Navy for 10 years as a greeter.

Outside of his love for his family, Bruce loved to travel and work in the yard.  He loved music and enjoyed going to concerts with his wife.  He loved taking his dog Chewy on long walks around the neighborhood. He loved a glass of wine, steak and a sweet treat.  He was a huge sports fan. He loved all New England sport teams: the Red Sox, Bruins, Celtics, and Patriots (also the Yankees when he was younger) and his favorite college team was Notre Dame.

There will be a memorial service for Bruce on Friday, February 7, 2025 at 3 PM at Greene Funeral Home Northwest Chapel, 2133 Ebenezer Road, Rock Hill, SC, 29732, with Reverend Steve Pittman. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at 2 PM.
