Linda Whiteside, 72, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 26, 2025 at the Wayne T. Patrick Hospice House in Rock Hill, SC.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, March 4, 2025 at 11:00 am at Greene Funeral Home Northwest Chapel, 2133 Ebenezer Road, Rock Hill, SC 29732. The funeral will be live-streamed at www.greenefuneralhome.net.
A native of Liverpool, England, Linda was the daughter of the late Thomas Hudson and the late Violet Ball Hudson. Linda married William “Bill” John Whiteside in 1974. They lived is various locations throughout their 50 years of marriage. They resided in Johannesburg, South Africa for four years before moving back to the UK. In December of 1980, they settled in Newport News, VA and moved to Matthews, NC in 1986. They resided in Roanoke, VA for five years, Marietta GA for two and in Inman, SC for the next 15 years. Linda and Bill finally located to Fort Mill, SC in 2024. Throughout her life, Linda worked as a Data Entry Clerk in the medical field. She enjoyed making beautiful needlepoint, cross-stitch and crocheted items. She was a proud and loving mother who enjoyed supporting her children at their athletic and dance events.
Linda is survived by her loving husband of 50 years, Bill; her children, Lael Whiteside of Atlanta, Georgia and Joel Whiteside (Carrie) of Tega Cay, SC; her three brothers, Thomas Hudson of England, Mark Hudson (Pam) of New Zealand and John Hudson (Yvette) of France; and two grandchildren, Hart and Reid Whiteside.
