Joe Ross Roberts, a lifelong resident of Rock Hill, went to be with his Lord on March 1, 2025. Joe was born on February 24, 1955 to the late Elbert Alexander and Marjorie Ross Roberts. After graduating from Northwestern High School in 1973 he joined his family’s business, Roberts Paint Company, and later worked at Roberts Systems until he retired due to health issues. Joe served his community for many years as a volunteer member of the Bethesda Fire Department. An avid NASCAR fan, he enjoyed whittling, classic television, and a good joke. Spending time with his family was Joe’s greatest joy. He is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Barbara Smith Roberts; his children, Steve Roberts (Clair), LeeAnn Bryson, and Chris Roberts (Jenelle); his brothers, John Roberts (Julia) of Clover and Jim Roberts (Jane) of Loris. He is also survived by three grandchildren, Madison Roberts, and Nolan and Marlee Bryson. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Bill Roberts (Linda) of Calabash NC.
