Jeanette Hefner Ellis, 89, of Catawba passed away on Saturday, March 8 at home.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, March 11, 2025 from 1:30–2:30 pm in the sanctuary of Harmony Baptist Church, 5403 Harmony Church Road, Edgemoor, SC 29712. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 pm with a burial following at the church cemetery.
Mrs. Ellis was born on June 28, 1935, in Lando, South Carolina. She was the daughter of the late Dora Aldridge and the late James Dallas Hefner. She grew up in Lando and attended Lewisville High School. She was a loving mom and devoted wife. She supported her husband while he served in the Army for more than 20 years. After retiring in Rock Hill, she worked as a kindergarten teaching assistant at Westminster Catawba Christian School.
She is survived by her daughter, Kim Ellis Allen (Mike), and son, Jason Ellis (Gina); four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harrison Wayne Ellis, her son-in-law, Michael Wayne Allen, two sisters and three brothers.
