Mrs. Carol Diana Moncello, 89, passed away peacefully on March 10, 2025.
Born in Jersey City, NJ, on June 1, 1935, she was the beloved daughter of the late Thomas Francis Wood and Elizabeth Christina Schafer Wood.
Carol lived a life full of love, always embracing happiness. She was a devoted mother to her children; Mark Poidomani (Flor), Patricia Poidomani, and Jane Cribb (Dwayne). She cherished her role as a grandmother to five wonderful grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. Carol is preceded in death by her loving husband, Jimmy Moncello.
Carol was an avid Mahjong player, she found so much joy in the game. She also had a passion for gardening and you could often find her dancing away. She retired from Western Union where she dedicated many years to. And if there was one thing everyone knew about Carol, it was her love for butter and crumb cake, which she always enjoyed having with a smile.
Her warmth and kindness will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

A memorial service for Carol will take place on Saturday, April 19, 2025 at 2pm at Greene Funeral Home Northwest Chapel, 2133 Ebenezer Rd. Rock Hill, SC 29732 with Mark Watts officiating.
