Sharon, SC – John Michael Warren (63), of Sharon, SC, passed away peacefully at home on April 14, 2025.

John was born in Neptune, NJ on November 22, 1961. Though he lived in many different parts of the country, he called South Carolina home.

John loved all things outdoors and was an avid metal detector and hunter. He loved working on old vehicles and collected many, including his favorite — his 1966 Chevrolet panel truck. He never met a stranger and always made fast friends. He found great joy in helping others and, when asked for a favor, his answer was always a resounding “yes.” He was beloved by children and animals.

John was a man of many skills and talents, ranging from custom building, welding, fabricating, and creating art. His creative endeavors included welding imaginative garden sculptures, which he made from old tools and scrap metal. His greatest gift and joy was being a father.

John is survived by his wife of 30 years, Marcia, his children, Hannah of Charlotte and Braytn of New Hampshire, sister Deborah (Kerry) Stevens of New Hampshire, brother Peter (Trina) of Missouri, brother Jeffrey of North Carolina, brother Jack of New York, father Gary of Missouri, brother and sister-in-law Mark and Kathy Moales of New Hampshire, as well as many nieces and nephews, great-nieces and nephews, and countless friends he loved like family.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Lillian, brother Mark, grandparents, and in-laws Dick and Joan Moales.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to the Agape Carnation Fund or Sharon United Methodist Church, in Sharon, SC.

A celebration of his life will be taking place on Friday, April 18th at noon at Greene Funeral Home in Rock Hill, SC (2133 Ebenezer Rd. Rock Hill, SC 29732). We invite all who loved him and were loved by him to join us.
