Rock Hill, SC – Mr. Gene Clifton Jackson (86) of 1530 Mt. Gallant Rd, Rock Hill, SC., passed away the morning of May 8, 2025 at his home.
Mr. Jackson was a veteran of the U.S. Navy where he served aboard the U.S.S. Plymouth Rock. He worked for 36 years at Rock Hill Printing and Finishing Company until it’s closing in 1998. He then worked several years at Northern Tool and Equipment in Fort Mill. He enjoyed bird watching, corn toss, and playing horse shoes.
Mr. Jackson is survived by his son, Roger W. Pittman (Sarah); grandson, Brooks Spencer Jackson-Pittman; great granddaughter, Cami Paige Pittman; sister-in-law, Cathy (Mike); nieces, Sherry Glenn and Jeryl Christmas (Paul); and nephews, Lee Jackson (Vonda) and Terry Jackson (Patti).
Mr. Jackson is preceded in death by his father, Thomas Edward Jackson; his mother, Elsie Williams Jackson; his wife, Mary Eulease (Crouch) Jackson; and his brothers, Thomas Jackson Jr. and Dalton Jackson.
A graveside memorial service will be held on Friday, May 16 at 1:00pm at Lando Cemetary located at Eternal Rd, Richburg, SC 29729, with Rev. Jerry Devinney officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Mr. Jackson’s name to St Jude Children’s Hospital.
