Maria K. Williams, 67, went home to be with The Lord on Sunday, June 1, 2025, at her home in York, SC.
Maria was born in Germany on September 24, 1957, to the late Hugo and Olga Kuhn. At the age of 19, she moved to the United States and remained in America throughout her life. Maria enjoyed gardening and being in the outdoors. She enjoyed regularly participating in the Rock Hill shag club, and was very active at Living By Faith Baptist Church. She will be remembered as a strong, wonderful, and beautiful woman.
Mrs. Williams is survived by her loving husband of 18 years, Stephen John Williams, Sr.; her step-children, Denny Head, Stephen J. Williams Jr., and Travis Williams (Jamie); her grandchildren, Landon Williams, Ryland Williams, and Mary Alice Williams; her dear friends, Chuck and Cecilia Whittaker; and her German Sheppard companion, Rascal.
She was preceded in death by her late parents.
A funeral service will be held for Maria Williams at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, June 4, 2025, at Greene Funeral Home Northwest Chapel, 2133 Ebenezer Road, Rock Hill, SC 29732. The family will receive visitors on Tuesday, June 3, 2025, from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM at the funeral home. Burial will follow the service at Forest Hills Cemetery, 4290 Old York Rd, Rock Hill, SC 29732.
