Rock Hill, SC – Irelann Zale Blanchard, 73, passed away Tuesday, June 10, 2025.
Born in Monroe, NC on October 12, 1951, Zale was the son of the late Heath Blanchard and the late Mozelle Eury Blanchard. He is preceded in death by his siblings, Van Blanchard and Patsy Belk.
Zale is survived by his devoted wife of 49 years, Sandra Kaye Blachard; his sons, Wes (Katie) Blanchard and Bart (Kelly) Blanchard; his grandchildren, Braxton, Beau, and Bella; his sisters, Donnie Snyder and her predeceased husband, James Snyder, Vicki Greene and her predeceased husband, Elwood Greene; as well as his brothers, Butch (Wendy) Blanchard and Phil (Brenda) Blanchard.
Zale was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather, he was a man who cherished his faith in Jesus, which was the most important value of his life. Zale had a profound love for his family, always putting them first and creating memories that will last a lifetime. He was an avid basketball player and fan, proudly supported his Tar Heels. Aside from basket-ball, Zale found joy in singing and playing his guitar, often filling the home with music and laughter.
Zale’s spirit and commitment to his loved ones will be deeply missed. He leaves behind a family forever touched by his kindness, faith, and love.
A funeral service will be held for Zale at 11:00a.m. on Friday, June 13, 2025, at First Baptist Church, 481 Hood Center Dr, Rock Hill, SC 29730. The family will receive visitors prior to the service at the church beginning at 9:30a.m. Burial will be private.
