David Ploutz, a beloved father, passed away on Tuesday, June 17, 2025, at his home in Rock Hill.
David was born on July 3, 1956, to the late Edward and Dorothy Ploutz, in Ilion, NY. During his early life, he proudly served his country in the United States Army from 1978 – 1981. Following his time in the service, David worked as a CNC machinist until he retired in 2023. Throughout his time, David enjoyed hobbies of riding his motorcycle, fishing, and his Camaro LS3.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Dorothy; and his nephew, Andrew Cirillo.
David is survived by his wife, Lynn Ploutz; sons, Jason (Lauren) and Justin (Ashley) Cutchins; James Ploutz (Joann); daughter, Teressa (Robert) Ijames; step-daughter, Tanya (Frank) Crane; grandchildren, Alex, Savannah, Gianna, Kairi, Xander, Kieran, Gwen, Kristopher, Lillie, Kyle, Leigha, and expecting another granddaughter in September. He also leaves many other family members who will sadly miss him, including his sister Betty Cirillo (Mike) and Daniel Ploutz (Nancy) and their families.
Though our hearts ache, we do take comfort in knowing he is now at peace. He will always be remembered with love.
The family is currently making plans following cremation to scatter his ashes according to his wishes. Further details will be shared soon.
