Rock Hill, SC – Carla Maria Thomason, 54, passed away peacefully on July 21, 2025 in Fort Lawn, SC.
A memorial service will be held Wednesday July 30, 2025 at 4 P.M at Greene Funeral Home Northwest Chapel, 2133 Ebenezer Road, Rock Hill, SC 29732.
Carla was born to Ron and Carmen Hoover on October 5, 1970 in Orlando, Florida. She received her Bachelor’s Degree from Winthrop University in 1994. She was a very involved and devoted mother, wife, sister, daughter, and friend. Carla loved being with her family, spending time at the beach, reading, and exercising. She was very selfless, kind, and was a loving person.
Carla was diagnosed with Frontotemporal Dementia/ Primary Progressive Aphasia in November of 2018. Carla lived her final 2 ½ years in a memory care facility, Helms Gordon Residential Care in Fort Lawn South Carolina.
Carla is survived by her husband, Chad Thomason; her daughter, Parker Thomason; her son, Walker Thomason; her mother, Carmen Hoover; her father, Ronald Hoover, Sr.; her sister, Angela Neal; and her brother, Ronald Hoover, Jr.
