Rock Hill, SC – Mr. Elliott Ray “Buddy” Baker, Jr., 59, passed away on Wednesday, July 30, 2025 at his home.
The Memorial Service will be held at 3:00 pm on Sunday, August 3, 2025, at Grace Ministries, 1511 Mount Holly Road, Rock Hill, SC 29730 with Rev. Tim Boan officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service, from 2:00 – 2:45 pm in the church sanctuary.
Born in Rock Hill, SC, Buddy was the son of Elliott Ray Baker and Linda Plyler Baker. He was a member of Grace Ministries, where he faithfully served as a board member. Buddy was very dedicated to his work as a pharmacist, serving his field with precision and accuracy. He developed a love for drag racing that originated from time spent with his dad building and racing cars. He often traveled to watch his favorite drivers. One of Buddy’s favorite ways to spend his time was to accompany his wife, Heidi, on her shopping excursions. He was always happy to chauffer her and enjoyed the experience.
Surviving are his wife, Heidi Christine Perry Baker; two daughters, Ava Baker, Kaitlyn (Joshua) Holbrook; one son, Blake Patterson; two granddaughters, Remi Holbrook and Sunny Holbrook; brother, Jason Baker; sister, Katherine Baker (Chris Mason); and his parents, Elliott and Linda Baker.
