John Walter Brown, Jr. passed away Thursday, August 28, 2025 at Piedmont Medical Center in Fort Mill, SC.
John Walter Brown Jr. (Rusty) is preceded in death by his parents Walter and Barbara Brown. He was a proud veteran of the US Airforce. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, golf, tending to his roses and watching hummingbirds. He loved his family with everything he had. He leaves a legacy of love, laughter and truth. He retired from Northern Tool and Equipment after many years of hard work and dedication.
Services for John will be held 12:00 pm, Saturday, September 6, 2025 at Providence
Baptist Church, 1947 Old Friendship Road, Rock Hill, SC 29730 with Pastor Keith Smith officiating. Burial will follow at Laurelwood Cemetery in Rock Hill. The family will receive friends from 11:00 am until the time of service of Saturday at the church.
Rusty is survived by Get Ready: his daughters Racheal Lewis (Billy) and Carol Gallo (Mike), his grandchildren: Sarah Lewis, Tyler Wilkins (Kayleigh), Joseph Lewis (Lindsay), Jared Wilkins, Alex Lewis (Emily), Bailey Wilkins and Bradlee Hayes, Marlee Gallo , Mallorie Gallo and we are not done yet! his great grandchildren: Carter Lewis, Heartlee Lewis, Kaiden Wilkins, Kyson Wilkins, Kashton Wilkins, Alani Sherwood, Emmett Lewis, Nayeli Wilkins, Lawson Lewis, Liam Lewis, Sakari Wilkins, Hazel Wilkins and Aliana Lewis, his sister Anne Shavers (Bud), his brothers Jerry Brown (Jan) and Jeff Brown (Debbie) and a slew of nieces and nephews. All of which he loved so much.
