Pinehurst, SC – Elisabeth Wise died on August 22, 2023 in Pinehurst, N.C. Elisabeth was born on March 30, 1947 in Rock Hill, S.C. She was the daughter of the late John Joseph Wise and Mary Hambright Wise. Elisabeth was a graduate of Rock Hill High School. She attended Mary Baldwin College and graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill where she was a member of Alpha Delta Pi sorority. She received her Masters in Economics from North Carolina State University.
Elisabeth lived a very active life in Raleigh serving on the boards of Family Services and the Raleigh Junior League. She was an ordained Elder at The First Presbyterian Church of Raleigh.
She is survived by her sister Harriet Wise Speight and husband Jackie of Pinehurst N.C. Also surviving are her nephews Joseph Alexander Speight and wife Jenna and John Wise Speight, great nephews Joseph Alexander Speight, Edward Jeffery Speight and Jackson Wise Speight.
