It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the passing of Aaron Douglas on May 4, 2026. Aaron, a devoted husband, brother, and friend, departed this world peacefully at home in the comforting embrace of his beloved wife, Amy, after a courageous battle with cancer. Born in Kentucky, Aaron’s journey through life was one marked by love, service, and an unwavering spirit.
Aaron was the son of Jerry and Jan. He was predeceased by his Granddad and Grandmom, Papaw and Granny Sandy, and his cousin Paul, whose memories and stories he carried close to his heart. He is survived by his devoted wife of 18 years, Amy, with whom he shared a beautiful life since they married on February 13, 2008, in Akron, Ohio. He also leaves behind his sister Sara, and brothers Josiah, Andrew, and Samuel, who will forever hold dear the countless moments of laughter and brotherhood they shared.
Aaron proudly served his country in the United States Army from 1994 to 2004, a decade that instilled in him a sense of duty and camaraderie that he carried into all aspects of his life. Following his military service, Aaron transitioned into a career in IT, where his passion for technology flourished. More recently, he took on the role of Maintenance Manager at an assisted living facility, where his compassionate nature and problem-solving skills made him a beloved presence.
A man of many talents and interests, Aaron’s life was enriched by his love for woodworking, computers, martial arts, and gaming of all kinds. Dragons, symbols of strength and wisdom, were a lifelong fascination and a reflection of the spirit he embodied. Aaron was also an enthusiastic participant in cornhole tournaments, where he forged lasting friendships within the KRAVE community.
Aaron will be remembered for his extreme patience, his infectious giggle, and the warmth of his hugs—each a testament to his kind and gentle soul. To know Aaron was to know a man who loved with his whole heart, bringing joy and comfort to all who crossed his path.
