Anna Mae Crook Brissie passed away June 18, 2025, after several years of declining health. She was born March 15, 1942, in Asheville, NC to Charles Henry and Esta Mae Crook. She was educated at schools in Inca, NC graduating in 1960. She lived there until marrying Bobby Brissie, April 6, 1968, and they spent 55 years of marriage together.

Anna was a wonderful cook, winning many blue ribbons for her desserts. She was a fine seamstress, even making her wedding dress. She also excelled in needlepoint, embroidery, and quilting. When asked what her favorite subject was in school, it was home economics.
After the passing of Bobby, she moved into Harbor Chase Assisted Living along with her beloved dog, Ceasar, who died a couple of weeks ago. She became very attached to some of Ceasar’s dog walkers, including Lori Davis, Barbara Grant, and Dianne Hefney.
She is survived by her aunt, Mary Ann Crook, Candler, NC; in-laws Gary and Patsy Brissie, Greenwood, SC, Carolyn Payne, Laurens, SC, Sammy and Jeannie Brissie, Shelby, NC, and June Haining, Lincolnville, ME. She is also survived by her long-time friend, Marie Llaneza, Wilmington, NC.
