Rock Hill, SC – Anna R. McKee, 91, passed away peacefully at home with family on April 3, 2026.
Born in Rock Hill, SC, Anna was the daughter of the late Daniel Everette Ratterree and the late Lina Mae Outen Ratterree. Aside from her parents, Anna is preceded in death by her husband Sidney T. Mckee and by her brothers Frank, Horace, Jack, Ervin, David (Buck), Bill, Carl and Bobby Ratterree.
Anna was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who found her greatest joy in caring for and spending time with her family. A graduate of Rock Hill High School, she carried a lifelong love for learning, community, and her Baptist faith. Anna had a passion for cooking, gardening, and canning, often sharing the fruits of her labor with those she loved.
Throughout her career, Anna dedicated herself to both education and service. She served as an instructor at York Technical College and held administrative roles with Royal Insurance and Duke Power, where she was respected for her commitment and professionalism. Anna will be remembered for her warmth, dedication, and the lasting impact she made on her family and all who knew her.
Anna leaves a rich legacy that includes her son, Darrell McKee of Rock Hill, SC, and her daughter, Pat Mckee Ferrell of Rock Hill, SC, as well as her grandson Chad David Gerrald and great-granddaughter Sydnee Reese Gerrald of Rock Hill, SC and her granddaughter Jennifer Gerrald Hopwood (James) of Delray Beach, FL.
