It is with deep love and sorrow that we share the passing of a very special woman. Barbara Sue Walden who went home to be with Jesus on September 9, 2025, at the age of 72.

Barbara was born on June 7, 1953, in Rock Hill, South Carolina, the daughter of the late Franklin David Easter and Laura Louise Easter. Barbara was a general manager at KFC before her retirement. She loved spending time with her family when she wasn’t with her best friend Bud. She lived a life filled with love, faith, and strength. Her legacy will live on in the lessons she taught, the love she gave, and the memories we will forever hold close.

She is survived by her son John David Walden, her sister, Brenda Lee Outlaw. Her grandchildren Christopher Walden, Summer Garvin, Autumn Walden, Jaylan Wallace, and Allyson Wallace. Barbara had 5 great grandchildren who she adored Claire Walden, Brantley Garvin, Ryleigh Garvin, Kailynn Valentine, and Harper Valentine. Barbara had many other relatives and friends who cherished her dearly, Melissa Wallace, William Wallace, Amanda Lee Outlaw, Laura Ann Easter, Timmy Dean Outlaw Jr. and Goat.

In addition to her parents, Barbara was preceded in death by her partner Robbie Dale Hammond, her brother Jackie Leon Easter and her nephew David Leon Easter. Though our hearts are heavy, we take comfort in knowing she is now at peace and reunited with loved ones who have gone before her.

A graveside service to honor her life will be held on Sunday, September 21st, at 2pm at Forest Hill Cemetery, located at 4290 Old York Road, Rock Hill SC 29732. Friends and family are invited to gather and celebrate the beautiful life she lived.

The family wishes to thank hospice, caregivers, and the hospital staff for their compassionate care.
