Richburg, SC – Betty Lou Hinson Thompson, 86, passed away on Tuesday, August 8, 2023, at her home in Richburg, SC. Betty was born October 19, 1936, to the late Elmor and Pearlie Hinson. During her life, she worked for Manetta Mills, and Hadden House; which she retired after over 20 years of experience. She was a devout member of Lando Baptist Church and in her pastime, she thoroughly enjoyed reading. She will be remembered as a loving mother and grandmother.
Betty Lou Hinson Thompson is survived by her two sons, John Robert Thompson and James “Peanut” Thompson; her 4 grandchildren, Francis Waters (Larry), Jamie Thompson, Libby Sloan, and Angel Sepulveda (Josh); her 8 great-grandchildren, Nathan, Skyler, Karleigh, Joseph, Eden, Izzy, Galilee, and Ezekiel; and loved as a daughter, Michelle Helms.
She is preceded in death by her late husband, Raymond Usel Thompson; her late parents, Elmor and Pearlie Hinson; her sisters, Alma Shurley, Louise Lucas, Eva Mae Hinson; and her brothers, Jimmy Hinson, CW Hinson, and Billy Hinson; and her great-grandchild, Ayden Thompson.
All funeral services for Mrs. Thompson will be private.
